You may send an email estimate to a customer while viewing all estimates or when viewing estimate details.

Email an estimate to a customer when viewing all estimates

  1. Click Sales > Estimates in Flare's main menu (1 and 2 below).

  2. On the estimates page, click the checkbox next to the estimate you'd like to email (3 below) and click the email icon (4). An email message composer will open.

  3. Flare populates the "To:" email address with the email address you entered when you created the customer, but this can be changed. Hover your mouse over the email address (or the word "None" if you didn't enter an email address in the customer record) and click the edit pencil icon (5 below). Enter an email address and click the confirm check mark. To enter CC or BCC email addresses, click "CC" or "BCC" (6 below). The "From:" email is a Flare system email address and cannot be changed.

  4. Click the "Attach PDF" checkbox to send a PDF attachment of the estimate (7 above). Select an estimate email template (8 above) or use the default estimate email message template (shown below).

      You may customize the message body ("A" below) in Settings > Email Templates. For more information about creating custom templates, see "Email Templates".

  5. Click Send (9 above).

Email an estimate to a customer when viewing estimate details

  1. Click Sales > Estimates in Flare's main menu (1 and 2 below).

  2. Click the Estimate # link of an estimate (3 below).

  3. Select a customer on the left and click the email icon (4 below) or click the email icon above the active customer on the right (5 below).

  4. Compose the email and click Send as described above.
