Record a check

To record a check to a Flare bank account, do the following:

  1. Click Bank in Flare's left menu (1 below) then click the account dropdown menu (2) and click a bank account name (3).

  2. Click the dropdown arrow at the right of the Create Deposit button and click Create Check (4 below).

  3. Enter a reference number (5 below). Notice that Account and Transaction Date are populated for you, but can be changed. Select an appropriate chart of accounts category (6), choose a payee or create a vendor on the fly (7), enter the check amount (8) and an optional internal note (9).

  4. Click the Save the button (10 above).
