Once you've created a budget, there are a few ways to view it.

• View your budget.
• Budget key: what am I looking at?
• View budget from dashboard.
• View budget from reports.

View your budget

1. Click Budget in Flare's main menu (1 below).
   
   
   
   
2. Select a start and end date or leave the default start and end date (shows entire fiscal year).

Budget key: what am I looking at?

The following key is an at-a-glance map of what you are looking at when viewing a budget.

1. Start date/end date selector.
   View your budget by any date range within the fiscal year. Values for the entire month are included when you select start and end months.

2. Revenue for the selected time period and percentage increase or decrease.
3. Expenses for the selected time period and percentage increase or decrease.
4. Net income (Revenue-Operating Expenses) for the selected time period and percentage increase or decrease.
5. Edit budget.
6. Budgeted revenue vs. actual revenue.
7. Budgeted expenses vs. actual expenses.
8. Budgeted net income vs. actual net income (Net Income = Revenue-Operating Expense).

9. Budgeted revenue and expenses by chart of accounts category and sub-category.
   Click open to reveal sub-categories and their budgeted vs. actual figures (13).
10. Actual revenue and expenses by chart of accounts category and sub-category.
    Click open to reveal sub-categories and their budgeted vs. actual figures (13).
11. Variance: difference between budget and actual expressed as a positive or negative percentage and dollar value.
12. Click to view sub-categories and their totals.

1. In Flare's main menu, click Dashboard (1 below).
   
   
   
   
2. Scroll down to the budget (2 above).
   View budgeted vs actual revenue for the fiscal year (Main tab), budgeted vs. actual revenue by month (Revenue tab), budgeted vs. actual expenses by month (Expenses tab), or budgeted Revenue vs. Expenses by month (Revenue and Expenses tab).

View your budget from reports

1. In Flare's left menu, click Reports (1 below).
   
   
2. Click the Budget vs. Actual tile (2 below).
