To view the dashboard, click the Dashboard link Flare’ main menu:
Liquidity
Liquidity displays the balances of your Flare financial accounts (Book), bank financial accounts (Bank), and the account's reconciliation status. indicates that the account is reconciled and
indicates it is unreconciled.
Key
- Click a Book balance to see your Flare financial account balance.
- Indicates that all transactions in the book account (the financial account(s) you created in Flare) are reconciled with the actual bank account transactions. If the account had unreconciled transactions, a grey box with a "U"
would be displayed.
Book: the financial account in Flare.
Bank: the actual financial institute account (from bank account statements).
Net Working Capital
Net Working Capital (NWC) is represented as a segmented graph comparing current assets to current liabilities, and your business's NWC Ratio—sometimes referred to as "Current Ratio" (Current Assets/Current Liabilities).
Key
- The Current Assets balance is displayed when the green segment is moused over. To display Current Liabilities, hover your mouse over the grey segment.
- NWC Ratio (Current Assets/Current Liabilities). An NWC Ratio of less than 1 indicates a strong likelihood of liquidity problems in the future. An NWC ratio of around 2 or more is an indicator of healthy liquidity in the short term.
Budget
The budget graph allows you to easily compare budgeted revenue and expenses with actual revenue and expenses.
Key
: a net income calculation from budgeted income and expenses vs. actual net income. Net income = Income – Cost of Goods Sold – Expenses.

- Hover your mouse over a revenue or expense bar to reveal the amount.
- Click to toggle visibility of budgeted or actual revenue and expenses.
Aging Report
An overview of aging accounts receivable and accounts payable balances. Balances are rounded up.
Key
- Receivables and payables balances by payment term.
- Click a receivable or payable balance to view a list of receivables or payables.
- Receivables transactions displayed after clicking the balance link at 2 above.
- Click to return to the dashboard.
Balance Sheet Summary
The balance sheet segmented concentric graph provides at-a-glance overview of assets and liabilities.
Viewing assets: moving from the inner circle to the outer circle (1 through 3 below) drills down to provide you more detail about Assets.
Key
- Hover your mouse over the blue segment to view the balance of all Assets. Click to view Assets which will load in the area labelled "A".
- Hover your mouse over orange to view the balance of Cash & Bank. Click to view Cash & Bank accounts to right of the area labelled "A".
- Hover over green to view the balance of Checking.
Viewing liabilities: moving from the inner segment to the outer segment of liabilities (1 through 4 below) provides increasing detail.
Key
- Hover your mouse over brown to view the balance of all liabilities. Click to load individual liability balances in the area labelled "A".
- Hover your mouse over the pink area to view the balance of all sales tax.
Click to load individual sales tax balances in the area labelled "A". - Individual tax (i.e. State, Federal, Municipal). Hover to view.
- Individual tax (i.e. State, Federal, Municipal). Hover to view.
Income vs. Expenses
View income and expenses by month, quarter or year. Click "Monthly" to filter.

- Choose to view by month, quarter, or year.
- Click light or dark green circles to toggle the item's visibility.
